Phoebe was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Walter Delamarter. Phoebe and Walter had four children who survive her: Deborah "Radha" Delamarter (Fritz Sperberg) of Manhattan Beach, CA; Sheryl Delamarter (Robert Holmes) of New York City; Pamela (Walter) Bell of Louisville; and Robert (Linn) Delamarter of Winter Haven, FL. Phoebe's walk with God was the most important thing in her life, and as long as she lived she continued to expand her understanding of God and her place in the world. She loved life and loved people and was open to everyone who crossed her path. Many people looked to her for spiritual guidance. She was always learning, even as a ninety-year-old, and she never tired of working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

A memorial service will be held at Highland Baptist Church on March 16, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers gifts to one of the following be given:

Highland Baptist Church, Highland Community Ministries, Dare to Care, Sarah and David Halter through givingatworldventure.com.
